Adrianne will play will play a key part of Joe team, Lady Jaye. She joins returning cast members Channing Tatum, Ray Park, and Byung-hun Lee in the film, alongside the already announced new cast members RZA, D.J. Cotrona, Dwayne Johnson, and Elodie Yung.

There’s a buzz in Hollywood about the new “it” girl. Her name is Adrianne Palicki, and her role in Wonder Woman is set to make her a certified star. This is a long way from home for the Toledo, OH native that is best known for her role in the NBC “Friday Night Lights” television series.
It wasn’t hard to tell that Palicki would become a star. She has the grace of a seasoned veteran, but she’s still very hungry and eager to land more opportunities. Adrianne was born in 1983 in the month of May. The 5’11 star that ran track in high school graduated from Whitmer High in 2001.
Her acting career did not take off until several years later when she land roles in well-known shows like Smallville and CSI in 2004. Most of these roles would be one time deals that would eventually be overshadowed by her reoccurring role in the “Friday Night Lights” series. This was a major change, but Palicki would find an even greater calling 50 episodes later as she transitioned into movies.
Palicki carried her big screen presence from small budget films like “Rewrite” and “Getting Rachel Back” to action films like and “Legion” in 2010 and “Red Dawn” in 2011. These were highly anticipated films, but nothing has topped the anticipation that comes with her newest role as Wonder Woman.
Lynda Carter was the original Wonder Woman on the television series. The big screen adaptation has been in works for years, but there was a lot of debate on the right woman for the role. Palicki’s hard work through the years has paid off because fans noticed. Producers, movie directors, and writers also noticed. The original star of “Wonder Women”, Lynda Carter, has even praised Palicki and agreed that she is perfect for the role.

The film, to be directed by John Chu (Step Up 3D, Never Say Never), will continue the toy-inspired world depicted in 2009′s G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra with a primarily new cast (except for the returning Channing Tatum as Duke, Ray Park as Snake Eyes and, likely, Byung Hun-lee as Stormshadow). Newcomers include Dwayne Johnson as Roadblock, Elodie Yung as Jinx, DJ Cotrona as Flint and RZA as The Blind Master.
Palicki is best known for her role on Friday Night Lights and for her casting in the recent Wonder Woman pilot that was, ultimately, not picked up. Her character is an integral part of the Joes and a master of espionage.

Adrianne Palicki (Friday Night Lights) will star in the title role of Wonder Woman, a new series pilot from David E. Kelley (Boston Legal, Ally McBeal, NBC’s Harry’s Law).
The series pilot is a reinvention of the iconic DC Comics title in which Wonder Woman – a/k/a Diana Prince – is a vigilante crime fighter in Los Angeles but also a successful corporate executive and a modern woman trying to balance all of the elements of her extraordinary life.
Kelley and Bill D’Elia (Boston Legal, The Practice) are the executive producers. The pilot was written by Kelley and will be directed by Jeffrey Reiner (NBC’s The Event). Wonder Woman is from David E Kelley Productions and Warner Bros. Television.
Palicki, who appeared as Tyra Collete in NBC”s acclaimed Friday Night Lights, will star in the upcoming feature-film remake of Red Dawn. She also starred in the horror film Breaking the Girl and in the recent series Lone Star.
